It was kept garaged from mid 90s until it was restored again in 2007. This video has a small interview with the owner and a quick ride on the streets of Chennai. Lambretta was a line of motor scooters manufactured in Milan, Italy, by Innocenti from 1947 to 1971. Lambretta scooters were also manufactured under license in other countries like France, Germany, India, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina. Automobile Products of India or API began assembling Innocenti-built Lambretta scooters in India. The Li150 series 2 model was manufactured in India under license from Innocenti starting from the early sixties. Even though production of Lambretta scooters ended around the world they continue to remain as popular as ever. There are countless enthusiasts and numerous lambretta clubs around the world today. In Brazil, lambretta is used as a synonym for scooter. The owners around the world keep these machines in pristine condition.
