This is a video or actually a reel converted to vhs converted to dvd of the Vidor Pirate Marching Band from the 1966 UIL District 10 Marching Contest. I obtained a marching band history of Vidor from 1960 all the way to 1991 from Mrs. Smith, wife of the late Charles Smith who was band director of Vidor during that time period. Though I never knew him, I know he is the reason that Vidor's Band Program is the way it is today. Interesting note: i think this may have been the first time we hear Slavonic or the ending part to Russian Christmas Music as Vidor's closer.
